Welcome to the Pink Parasol Project
Healing the Mind, Body and Soul
Physical
The shock of being diagnosed with cancer, affects our bodies in numerous ways. We feel like we have lost control over what our bodies are doing. What we can do is start looking at healthier eating, exercising (within your capabilities) and relaxing techniques. We have listed various physicians and therapists to help you deal with the physical aspect of your journey.
Mental
and sometimes you need that “one person” that can help you cope with your diagnosis. If you not sure how to “break the news” to your children or other family members, a therapist can help you with that path in your journey.
Feeling Good
We all know that saying “if you feel good on the outside, you feel good on the inside”. Whether a wig, a bra or prostheses or even your “warrior tattoo”, we hope you find the things here that make you feel like the beautiful fighter that you are. We have included some “feel good” projects and NGO’s if you would like to get involved.
Spiritual
“Mind, body and Soul”, while we take care of our bodies and mental health during this stage, sometimes you need to reach further and get support for your spiritual well-being.
